Admission Process Of BS Computer Science

  • Students can apply online and by visiting the campus for the BS computer science program. To apply online, applicants are required to sign up at the university admissions portal.
  • Sign in the form with your email address and complete the application form with all required personal and academic information.
  • They are also required to attach photocopies of all academic attested documents with the application form.
  • After completing the application form, submit the application form and verify.
  • Also pay the application fee and deposit in the bank branch mentioned. Also upload a challan copy with the application form.
  • The merit lists will be determined on all previous record according to the merit formula. The merit formula is different for all engineering universities.

Eligibility Criteria Of BS Computer Science

  • Students must have minimum 50% marks in Intermediate/12 years education/A- Level (HSSC) or equivalent qualification with mathematics for admission in all BS Computing Programs; they also must have an equivalency certificate by IBCC which will be required in case of education from other country.
  • They also must have 50% marks in ECAT test or any admission test to take admission in engineering university.

Admission Intakes And Entry Test Of BS Computer Science

Mostly the admissions of BS computer science start in august and January in public and private universities of Pakistan.

Ecat is mandatory to take admission in all public sector engineering universities of Pakistan. Some universities also accept

  • NAT test for admission,
    • and some conduct their own
  • entry test for admission in BSCS.

    • Merit/Merit Formula Of BS Computer Science

    The merit of BS computer science starts from 92% and ends at 85% in government universities of Pakistan and in private universities, it mostly starts from 82% and ends at 72%.

    The merit formula is different for each engineering university. The generic formula to calculate merit of BS computer science is as:

    Ecat marks=50%
    Intermediate marks=50%
    Or
    Admission test marks=50%
    Intermediate marks=30%
    Matriculation mark=20%
