This year's rankings witnessed a remarkable surge, evaluating over 16,300 academic programs across various subjects, representing an increase of more than 600 programs compared to the previous year. A total of 1,559 institutions worldwide underwent evaluation, with 64 universities making their debut appearance. The 2024 edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject comprises 55 distinct subjects categorized into five broad categories;

Remarkable Achievements of Pakistani Universities

COMSATS University Islamabad and University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore closely followed suit. 

NUST's stellar performance in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 is commendable, particularly its ascent of 16 positions in the field of Engineering & Technology, securing the prestigious 144th spot globally. NUST secured positions among the top 200 universities worldwide in subjects such as Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, and Civil & Structural Engineering. The University of the Punjab celebrated significant milestones, with 19 subjects ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. Library and Information Management particularly shone brightly, securing a remarkable global position.
